A Bit About Us

I get it…I am a mom too..

When lice struck our family, I was mortified, terrified and creeped out! I felt embarrassed, ashamed and I just wanted to hide in a hole.

I thought, “how could I miss this? how could my kids get lice?” And “how could I ever send them to school again?” The shame and embarrassment on my family would be terrible.

After, frantically sending my husband to the drug store to buy every lice product they had (which don’t actually work, by the way), and slathering my kids heads in olive oil, I took a deep breath and tried to compose myself.

I remembered that friend told me there were actual nitpickers that come to your house and treat lice outbreaks. I called one, paid a ridiculous amount of money and then paid them again when they came back a week later, after their treatment didn’t work.

After a third infestation, I took matters into my own hands. I studied every technique, product and treatment. I learned all about the lice life cycle and what they actually are. I was trained in the proper nit picking and lice spotting techniques. And I learned how to combat lice.

There is nothing better for me than calming a frantic and embarrassed parent and sending them off lice free.
